Successful start of the SEE ETC project FOROPA for the promotion and strengthening of clusters and networks for an enhanced utilization of lignocellulosic biomass in the SEE area. On January 21-24, 17 representatives of the 10 FOROPA partners from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Switzerland met for the project kick-off in Ljubljana/SLO.
Welcome to the FOROPA Collaborative Platform! Here you can find information on the project and it´s results, including a collection of Good-Practice Examples, an overview of existing ICT applications as well as access to biomass experts and other information and learning material. This Website will be online until the end of 2017.
FOROPA was funded within the 4th call of the ETC SEE programme with a project runtime from Dec 1, 2012 until Dec 31, 2014 and consisted of 13 partners from 10 different countries.
The Nordic Baltic Bioenergy 2013 is the 10th Nordic Bioenergy Conference since 1990. This year, focus will be on new technology and market opportunities within production and use of bioenergy. Trade, economics and marketing are also central topics. New trends in bioenergy promotion and international trade of biofuels are other topics to be addressed at the conference.
The event is an attractive meeting point for representatives from all parts of the bioenergy sector, where business representatives, consultants, researchers, scientists, policymakers and media meet.
Parallel sessions and panel debates with profiled speakers will be organised to discuss future bioenergy challenges and possibilities. Side-events will provide opportunities for networking, match-making and improve knowledge about the various activities of the bioenergy sector.
