In the frame of the kick-off meeting for the FP7-project FOCUS, which took place from Jan 29th to 31st in Porto/Portugal, the FOROPA coordinator Mr. Oberwimmer from Holzcluster Steiermark GmbH took the opportunity to promote FOROPA and to interlink two projects both dealing with information and communication technologies in forestry and the improvement of forest supply chains though with different approaches.

In the frame of the 4th FOROPA project meeting which joined with 4th Central European Biomass Conference (CEBC) in Graz Austria from Jan 14th to 17th, two international expert panels took place. While the first panel was held during the internal meeting of the FOROPA consortium, the second expert panel was organized in form of a poster session which could be joined by participants of the conference.
4th FOROPA Project Meeting in Graz
Alongside the largest conference on woody biomass in Central and South East Europe (CEBC 2014) which featured more than 1.100 visitors from 45 countries this year, the 4th FOROPA project meeting took place in Graz, Austria from January 14th to 17th. Partners from Austria, Greece, Italy, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Serbia participated in the meeting and also the conference.

The 4th Central European Biomass Conference (CEBC) will take place in Graz, Austria from January 15th to 18th.
Austrian Stakeholder Workshop on the Supply Chain Management of Wood Chips
The three Austrian FOROPA partners Holzcluster Steiermark GmbH, Waldverband Steiermark and BOKU organized a first regional stakeholder workshop in Niklasdorf, Styria on November 15th, 2013.
3rd FOROPA Project Meeting in Serbia
The 3rd FOROPA project meeting took place in Boljevac, Serbia from September 16 to 19. Partners from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Serbia participated in the meeting and were joined by regional experts from Serbia.
FOROPA highlights in Slovakia during European Researchers´Night : 300 cities in 33 countries celebrated Researchers' Night on 27th September 2013!
Researchers' Night takes place every year across Europe on the fourth Friday of September. The event has grown from 92 participating cities in 2006 to over 300 cities this year. Researchers' Night is traditional event supported by the EU's Marie Curie Actions, which promote international research careers.
